My name Christopher Binford and i am currently living in Artesia California with my family that God has blessed me with. I have four brothers and three sisters. I truely love my family and is willing to do whatever to provide and look after throughout my entire life, no matter what happens. My brother has been a role model to me for him being the first in the family to go to college and help persue his goal.
As I was younger, I was always athletically involved in sports and other activities. When i was younger I used to always like racing people at school and I would always come in either first or second place. That might be the reason why i run a 4.5 in the forty timing. I was always known for being the short one when it came to hanging out with friends or sports, etc. Although i was known for being short, i made up for it with my big heart and letted people know that size does not matter. As of right now I am currently standing at 5'7 and is still growing. Along with my height i carry 155 pounds. In my high school career as a freshmen I knew that I would have to find a way on the field because i was the smallest on the team and their were alot of players. I started off playing on the scout team constantly seeking out a way of getting the coaches to recognize me and my amazing talent at kick return. Eventually i worked my tail off and ended up starting and it opened up my way in other positions such as, corner, puntreturn and runningback. This made me relize that I can do anything I want in life as long as I put my mind into it. I was a three year varsity starter at Valley Christian High School in Cerritos, California. My NFL idol was Devin Hester, he really helped me notice the importance of special teams and cause a threat to other teams. In recognition of my great special teams ability i got the Special Teams MVP my junior and senior year. Despite my special teams ability, I was a hard working corner that did not except anything from the recievers. I made the First Team All-League Award for deffence. I am most importantly sure that I am a coachable player that is willing to provide and help the team get better in any way that i could and I am also a team player. Being apart of a college team would be one step closer to my goal. In high school football I found my hidden talent in football and my next step is to carry on this talent to the next level which is playing on a college team. I have came to a conclusion that it does not really matter what college I end up going to. I just want to be given an oppurtunity to be able to show off my football talents and learn new things that would help me become a better player as well as a well educated person. I would love to stay close to home in California so that i can stay in touch with my family but at the same time I am entering the adult world meaning I would have to know how to deal with certain situations that I may run across. Therefore, I am willing to travel to different states to go to a college whether it is big, small, far, close, etc. My family has qualified for the FAFSA program. This is the main reason why i want to go to college because our family is big and money situations make it harder for my mom to provide for us. Having a back up plan is important to me because if something goes wrong with football, I can refer to my buisness company and succeed in making the big bucks. I plan on majoring in Buisness, Zoology, Animal Science, Performing Arts- Drama and Architecture. Basically I am willing to play in any college level. I just want to be noticed for my skills so that hopefully it take s me far in life and leading me to a succeeding person. A scholorship would be a blessing for me and would help me get into a good school especially due to low money income. I really would like to be apart of any college team to gain another step in my future.
