Personal Statement
Hello my name is Anthony Camargo and I am currently enrolled at Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente, CA. I’m in 10th grade and I am the starting outside linebacker for the varsity football team, I also play receiver and am the backup quarterback. I was admitted to Amat with Honors at Entrance after scoring a 98% on the entrance exam. Throughout my freshman year and so far in my sophomore year I have been able to maintain a 4.2 GPA while playing football, basketball, and baseball.
I have been working really hard during these past couple of years so I could play on the varsity level and it has really paid off. I pride myself on my work ethic and use it to separate myself from other players. I am very competitive, and don’t like to lose in anything. My ultimate goal is to play college and then professional football. I know it won’t be easy, but I’m willing to work and do whatever it takes to accomplish that.

- I batted 4th in the lineup all year and played right field. Bishop Amat had a Freshman Tournament with 20 teams attending the tournament. Bishop Amat divided Amat’s freshman team into 3 teams. The team I was on ended up as the number 1 seed in their Pool.
