Personal Statement
I've been playing football since age 8 years. I come from a long line of football players with a grandfather who has coached Division 1 high school football for over 40 years. Football is in my blood.
One of my strengths is being able to "see the field". I can envision players moves and where the ball is going before it happens. I can anticipate and then react to make the play happen. Another strength is that I'm a leader on the field. I try to encourage and help out my team mates on and off the field so we become more than a team.
I struggled this past year with an injury that made me miss the whole season. I broke my leg the first scrimmage of the season. I was mentally and physically broken down. I learned a lot watching from the side lines. I learned I was more than just a football player and I had to dig deep to realize there was a bigger plan for my future. I grew throughout those 3 months and I feel it has made me stronger mentally and physically and ready to prove myself to everyone of what I am capable of doing on the field.
I would love the opportunity to play college football and get a college education at the same time. I would give everything I had to a team given the opportunity. I'm excited for my future and what it holds.
