Personal Statement
"Grant has been a unique individual at San Pasqual High School. His efforts and accomplishments in the total high school experience (academic, athletic, service and extra-curricular) have surpassed most of his peers. His classroom success has been the result of determination and hard work that carries over into every facet of his life.
As in everything Grant does, he is not satisfied with merely participating; he actively seeks a leadership role and is very capable of making a decision rather than a suggestion. He is tireless in his pursuit of excellence. Grant is a firm believer in goal setting. His aspirations are high, but well within his grasp.
On the athletic field as well, Grant has been exceptional. His work ethics are second to none. Grant has the ability to inspire his fellow athletes through his actions. Because of Grant’s efforts he has been a major contributor to our team’s success. Grant is one of our team leaders in rushing yards, receiving yards and return yards. Grant is asked to do many things for our team’s success; he is asked to run, catch, block, return, be a decoy and be a leader. Grant is willing to sacrifice his own success for the betterment of the team." End Quote
Tony Corley, Varsity Football Coach/Teacher, San Pasqual High School
I am a strong and competitive athlete that plays hard at 100% regardless of the sport I am playing. I played Varsity Track, Wrestling and Football. My passion is Football and I look forward to playing at the College level. I attended a NIKE Sparq Combine in Layton, Utah, over the summer and scored a 132.93. This score ranks me 12th in the country based on ESPN Recruiting Nation leaderboard. My 40 yard time is 4.43, this is electronic timed. I was also selected for 1st Team All League. My contribution to my team is as a Running Back, Wide Receiver, Punt Return and Kickoff Return. My Varsity coach, Nike Sparq, and several College football camps I attended over the summer have me assessed as a strong DI-A player. It is my goal to play college football for a school that allows me to achieve my academic and athletic goals.
My academic interest are business, economics and dentistry. I am pursuing internships in each field, in the off season, to give me direction to my college academic goals. All three areas have a high level of interest for me at this point.
I will make a strong contribution to any team that gives me the opportunity. My strong work ethic, athletic ability and leadership qualities will make a significant addition to any football program.
