Greetings,
My name is PJ Reichert and I am sophomore at Gavilan College in Gilroy, California. I have a drive to play Division 1Collegiate football and I ask for the opportunity to be considered by your program.
I was awarded 1st team all-league my senior year and had accumulated 1,194 yards receiving on 75 receptions and 14 TDs.This season I had played 8 games with a broken wrist, 5 of those with a playable cast, due to an injury I had sustained in the second half of my first game (broken wrist). I returned after 2 weeks to play the rest of the season when our team needed me most as our coach had stepped down from head coach to be with his wife diagnosed with cancer. I had also played with three different QBs this season due to injuries. My junior season I accumulated 35 receptions, 601 yards receiving, and 5T Ds all in a lower division.
I am a Team Captain and Wide Receiver and appreciate the leadership opportunity my Coach has entrusted to me. Going into my senior season we had moved up to the A-league and I had set goals of a 1,000 yard season with 10 touchdowns which I had exceeded in only playing eight games. Our motto at Christopher high has always been: "Get better every day in every way," and this has been the driving force for our team.
I strongly believe in being an athlete not only on the field, but also in the classroom. I am a student of the game of Football and have a goal of being a collegiate student athlete. I scored a 1660 on the SAT. I have 3.25 cumulative GPA heading into my senior year. I was enrolled in 2 AP classes my junior year and am enrolled in one AP class my senior year.
What sets me apart from other players is my dedication and commitment to the team and my willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. I love the game and I am willing to play any position that will benefit the team. It has been a lifetime goal for me to play at the collegiate football level. I also wish to use football as a way to better my character and academics as I pursue a career in the field of business and take over my fathers Real Estate company.
My head coach is Tim Pierleoni and you can email/contact him at [email protected] or (408)-310-2122 if you have any questions about me. My number is (408)722-8481 if you have any questions for me. You also have my email.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Paul (PJ) Reichert
