Personal Statement
My goal has always been to play college football and to attain a degree while playing the sport I love. I want a college to take a chance on me and give me an opportunity to play, which I promise you will not regret. I have the build of a Division 1 Quarterback of 6’4 and 205 pounds and I plan to put on more weight. I excel both on and off the field. I have a 4.27 GPA with two honors classes. I am also very competitive with everything I do whether it be grades, athletics, and even board games. I hate losing more than anything in the world. I had one varsity start as a Freshman and was named the starting quarterback before the first game of my Sophomore year. I was also involved with varsity basketball as Sophomore. When I’m done with my homework, I usually watch my own film or film at the professional or collegiate level. I volunteer my time coaching a flag football team in the off season. I have been selected as captain for my upcoming Junior season. My high school coaches know I have a low key and quiet personality and don’t like to talk much, but they have consistently seen me lead by example, whether it is in the weight room doing just one extra rep and taking everything from stretching to conditioning seriously. My teammates see me take a big hit after the throw and get right back up. I did not miss a single offensive snap this entire year of football. Outside of being a leader on the football field, I am also a leader on campus by making good choices in the classroom, listening to my teachers, getting the work done, and by choosing not to get involved with drugs or alcohol. I am a very coachable athlete and enjoy learning any tips a coach will give me. If given the opportunity, I would play this game forever.
