My name is Tom Hofmeister. I graduate in 2015. I am the varsity nose tackle, defensive tackle, and right tackle for Acalanes high school in the North Coast division 3 conference. In 2013 we won our first playoff game in 8 years and finished with a record of 8-4. Next football season will be my 3rd year starting on varsity. It’s my goal to attend a college where I can be successful at academics and football, but mainly football. I want the opportunity to play football with a great program and get my education at a college that’s a good fit for me.
I am a multi-sport athlete with the additions of basketball, lacrosse, and golf. The third time I played golf I was about 12. My dad hit a hole in one on the third hole at Orinda country club. It was incredible. 5 holes later we were on the 8th hole it's about 120 yards I get my pitching wedge hit it and I lost it in the sun. After about 5 minutes of looking for it my dad checked the hole and said "are you kidding me." He started laughing and walked away. I looked down in the hole and said "I found it." We looked it up and were the only father and son to get hole in ones on the same day on different holes. I think that's pretty cool. I started in lacrosse in 4th grade then stopped in 7th grade because it wasn't physical enough for me. This was about the time I found flag football. It still was enough for me. In 8th grade I played tackle football I was a 5'10" 200 lbs running back and defensive end. I scored about 6 touchdowns a game with about 15 sacks as well. That's when I knew I loved football. Every weekend I wake up at 4:59 and hit the sled, work on my get off, work on my pad level, or anything I can do to get better. I usually leave around 11. I spend every second of everyday thinking about football; I guess you could say I'm obsessed. Some might even say crazy, but I think every d-lineman is a little crazy. One of the Guys I copied my style from is borderline insane and that's john randle; look how far he went.
