Personal Statement
I have always aspired to play collegiate division I level football. Playing college football is an opportunity that will put my life in a positive direction that will change my life and my family’s life. My collegiate goals don’t only include my ability to play football, but also in academics. Someone that excels in the classroom will also excel on the field. Athletics and education go hand in hand, and that’s why we are called student athletes. I want to find the best match academics skills and football passion. #2 what makes me a good candidate for their team? My experience playing division I football at Long beach poly in front of five thousand fans at Veterans Stadium strengthen my discipline required to play under pressure. When kicking and thousands of fans are screaming, pulse pounding, I keep a level head and execute. My discipline and experience will allow me to thrive in a collegiate level playing environment. I am a team player, coachable and always have a positive approach. I lead by example, good work ethic and strive for perfection. But most important of all, I am committed to excellence. On the field my record speaks for itself, I have made all PAT’s and field goals. Accuracy is my strength! I’m working out year round and I’m increasing leg strength and kicking distance. #3 what makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics? Courage, perseverance and overcoming adversity sets me apart from other recruits. My life was interrupted by an unfortunate circumstance I encountered during my sophomore year which dramatically changed my life. Regardless of my bad circumstance I refused to be a victim and I prevail. I continued in football and maintained a high GPA. My hardship taught me mental toughness and stronger values on and off the field. Also my passion for the game drives my motivation and I want to be the best player not for me but for my team.
