Personal Statement
JUNIOR COLLEGE:
I am currently at Riverside City College in Riverside, CA. I will graduate in December of 2018 with my AA degree. I am a Mid Year Qualifier. I am the starting quarterback and working hard to make it to another state championship game. Prior to coming to RCC, I was at Northern Arizona University. I earned my position as the backup quarterback behind an All American QB.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Winning the Division 2AA State Championships in northern California as a junior is probably one of the biggest highlights of my athletic career, but then to get there a second time as a senior, I can't even begin to explain what it feels like! I am the starting quarterback for this team. We reached the state championship game and won after finishing our regular season with a 2-6 record! Every game after regular season was a must win. This definitely taught me to be patient, believe in the process and to deal with the pressures of family, the media and team commitment. To reach the state game again as a senior in high school and be moved to another division in playoffs was so challenging! I am excited for the team that gets me in college. What I'm capable of doing is unlimited!
After only playing a couple of games my sophomore season due to an injury, I had to make up a lot of time on the football field. I knew that if I wanted our team to have a winning season my junior year, I had to work on my skills and be able to lead our team. The coaches put me in the position to do so and I can't thank them enough. Not only did I work hard on the field, but I also worked hard in the classroom. I finished my junior year with a GPA of 3.96. Prior to that, I had carried a 4.0 GPA since the 7th grade. I am also blessed to receive a Talons from the National Honor Society! Hard work ALWAYS pays off!
