Mark Hooker '16 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing football since I was 12 years old and have loved every minute of it.  The school I attend is small and only has a varsity football team.  As a freshman I started as a defensive end and our team had a 3-12 season.  I had to go up against guys bigger, stronger and more experienced than me.  All it did was make me work harder.  Our coaches pushed us to train hard all year round and I never missed a day of Crossfit or practice with my team.  The result of this intense training has made me one of the top 5 returning sack leaders in 2015 season, and last year our team dominated our section and won section title.  I'm proud to be a member of the Stone Ridge Knights, a part of the brotherhood, and a team captain. I love to work hard and play hard. 
Being raised on a farm has also taught me how to work hard and that things don't always come easy. Sometimes you have to wait to see results and sometimes things are out of your control.  But whatever I can control, I know I'm going to give it my all. 
I know that playing college ball will push me further and harder.  I am ready for this work.  I want to come to a team and give it my all so that we can be the best team.
