My name is Zack Cody; I am a self-motivated, highly focused student-athlete. I stand 6’2’’ tall and weigh in at 275 lbs. I am currently a Senior enrolled in mulitple AP courses carrying a 4.2 GPA at Trabuco Hills High School in Mission Viejo, California. I have played football for thirteen seasons, learning to play the Offensive Line, primarily the Center position, beginning at the age of 5. During my high school football experience I have received the following awards:
At the end of my Freshman season, I received the Coaches Award. “If I could copy one player on this team to play all 11 positions, it would be Zack Cody.” (Head Coach – Randy Brouwer)
As a Sophomore, I started as the Varsity Center. I achieved Lineman of the Year and 1st Team All South Coast League, CA Southern Section.
As a Junior, I once again achieved Lineman of the Year, 1st Team All South Coast League, CA Southern Section, and Scholar Athlete of the Year.
At the end of my Senior season, as a team Captain, I achieved Offensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All South Coast League (3rd consecutive year) and Scholar athlete. In addition, I was selected to the 2nd Team All-County Football Team.
In addition to my challenging academic courses and the commitment and demands of Varsity Football, I am proud to be a leader of our Character Counts Program. As a Character Counts Captain, we visit local elementary schools and encouraging future student-athletes to keep reading and study hard.
Performing community service, as a 2 year member of the National Honor Society and a 4 year member of the California Scholastic Federation, I planned and executed a campus clean-up project at the elementary school where I was a student in the GATE Program (Gifted And Talented Education Program) through the sixth grade.
I set a positive example for my teammates on the field, leading by example through hard work and dedication every day, even in the off-season, working-out with maximum effort. I set a positive example for my teammates off the field by tutoring at-risk student athletes in the football program during lunch.
My love of science and math are leading me in the direction of studying Computer Engineering in College. I am still determining my primary area of focus within this field. I am looking for a college that values the successful completion of a college education as much as it values excellence and winning on the football field. I will put in whatever effort is required to play collegiate football as a Freshman. I am open to any geographic locations and different types of schools. I encourage any coach interested in pursuing me for their collegiate football program to reach out to my High School Coaching Staff, even any of my Pop Warner Coaches, to confirm my desire, commitment and determination to succeed both on the field and off.
