Personal Statement
Hi my name is Ernesto Valenzuela III, I come from a long line of athletes and coaches, due to this history I have learn to love all sports and respect the process. All though I have played everything from Soccer, La Crosse and Baseball my number one favorite sport is Football. Football came very natural to me, I understood the game at a very early age and as my father has mentioned to me in the past, I appeared to have an eye for the sport. I did not know what that meant for many years but have recently figured out that I can see the play ahead of time and that is why I’m always in the middle of it.
I have been playing for Vista Murrieta High School, Murrieta CA since my freshman year and I’m very proud to say have been a started in the Defensive Line that entire time, this is a big deal as Vista Murrieta is a top ranked school with some of the best coaches in the nation and an extremely tough place to get play time. Vista Murrieta’s Defense is always our strongest asset and as anyone can imagine the hardest positions to get staring spots, but I have worked harder than anyone one else and as many of my coaches have said I’m very easy to coach. At the end of my sophomore year I was moved to Varsity and got a limited amount of play as I was the backup for a future Div I-A players. In my junior year I was high in the Depth chart and that was great as the only junior in the Depth chart I got a lot of play and got a full experience of a Varsity year.
I hope to get an opportunity to play in College, an as all young kids have my favorites but we have been looking at many different schools and we hope to find the right fit.
