Personal Statement
I am 5'10" 157lbs., and very strong pound-for-pound. I am a Junior and have started Varsity since Freshman year. I am a good motivator and easy to talk to.
I am a nice, Christian, young man that has always wanted to play on that "next level." I have always loved baseball, and I have played and succeeded at every position on the field. I played middle infield/catcher up until high school then my coach put me in the outfield. I learned very quickly and have become a very good outfielder. During summer I play infield as well and, only on one occasion, pitched for a very short spurt. I have good speed, and have batted 9-hole in our line up every game I've played in, limiting my at-bats to 2 a game most of the time. I am very easily taught and will learn anything needed.
During the '09 summer I was warming up for a game and slipped in some loose sand (there from a recent flood) and partially tore my right Achilles tendon. Before this accident I had a 40+" leap and a 37" vertical, now it is limited to how the foot feels day-to-day, but I max at 31" bound now. I have a strong arm and a trusted glove. I usually get the call on my team to bunt, I may not be the best 'bunter' on the team but am trusted to get a job done.
I am an A- student and want to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. I have a wish of staying close to home but am not limiting my options to that, nor do I have a preference of a big or small school. I have always wanted the chance to play college ball, and if I am good enough for an opportunity is not up to me, but I won't sell myself short and must at least try to follow my dream.
Thank you for looking at my profile, may God bless.
