Personal Statement

My goal is to obtain a great education and play football to my fullest potential. I am willing to learn and achieve goals both academically and athletically to make myself a valuable contribution to society and the team. Hard work, dedication and the willingness to excel and grow both on and off the field.

My coach talks about TLC which I am taking to heart. TLC means can you be trusted, love each other and be committed to the team. You must also be loyal to yourself. To me to be part of this team is going to be the best part of my life, I love football. I have turned down offers to play for other high schools, but I have been with this team for 4 years and I want to play at Cajon and be with my brothers and win together. Honestly football is all I got I don’t care if I start as long as I get to be with the team and this family.

The T in TLC means can you be trusted. I want people to have trust in me that I will give it my all and work hard to do whatever it takes to help myself and the team be the best it can possibly be.

Second the L in TLC means love each other. This is my favorite part because you can’t win if you don’t have each other’s back. We need to love each other on this team if we want to win. We need protect each other when we are on the field or else where, we need to protect each other everywhere as if we are brothers. Treat each other the way you want to be treated.

Finally the C in TLC means are you committed. This one is also very important in not only improving as a team but also as improving as an individual. Personally it means work hard to do whatever it takes to help my team be the best it can be. It is making big plays on the D line, at practice going game speed against the first group, or working hard, getting stronger in the weight room and on the my off time. Always finishing what I have started, not a quitter

All of these are the key to success in football and in life. These are what it means to be a cowboy, all these life skills the coaches are teaching us. All the self-discipline, integrity, loyalty, and most importantly brotherhood.

The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
