Evan Padilla '17 Recruiting Profile

At the age of 3 I was introduced to the game of soccer and was captivated by the game. Over the years I tirelessly honed my skills and progressed to the level of academy league in club soccer. On a whim I was asked to try out as the kicker for my  high school team and as fate would have it I found my new  passion! I grew this passion with former NFL kicker John Carney who remains one of my coaches to this day. I was recruited out of high school by the University of Massachusetts as a preferred walk-on  where I redshirted my first year. While at UMASS I was the most consistent kicker and held the best percentages at all the fall camps. However, with multiple changes in special teams and head coaching staff I was put as a backup for the new coaches recruits in spite of having the best stats.  I am now looking for a school to show my talents and abilities as well as continue my education.  I value my education as much as I value kicking and I'm confident my film will show it.  I mentally strong when it is required and will give my all to a team to achieve success both on and off the field.     Evan Padilla
