Personal Statement
Hi Coaches,
I've been blessed with the size, speed and strength (6'1 195 4.55) necessary to play college football at the highest level. However, I believe what differentiates me from the average football player is my intense desire and determination to get the very best out of my God-given potential. When I am not maintaining or striving to improve on my 3.8 grade point average or working as an English tutor in our award winning Writing In the End-zone program at College of San Mateo, I am watching game film for hours and working on my craft as a defensive back for the 4th ranked community college football team in California. I am able to fluidly transition from a nickel back, to Strong Safety or Corner and make the calls necessary for the secondary to be aligned in the most conducive formation for success. My high school years were negatively impacted by my decision to give my little brother the bone-marrow necessary to save his life but I have come back strong in community college and I'm ready to face any adversity and overcome any obstacle to achieve my ultimate goal of playing defensive back for a major college program. I have completed three AA degrees and four certificates in the last two and a half years and I can't wait to talk to coaches who would like to utilize my gifts to lead by example and contribute on the football field, classroom and community!!
