Personal Statement
Football is a gift and I’m looking to enjoy that gift as long as I can. I am hoping to find a school/team that is a great match for both of us. I try hard to commit myself to my team and work hard to make myself the absolute best football player that I can be. I’m usually the first person to practice and the last to leave. I enjoy the intellectual side of football almost as much as the physical side. I’ve been the starting center for our varsity squad for the past three seasons and have not missed a single down on offense in all 30 of our regular season games as well as the two playoff games we competed in. I’ve thrived in two completely different offensive systems; one being similar to the UCLA Bruins offense and the other a more traditional offense. In the 32 varsity games my snaps have varied between pistol, shotgun and under center. Over those three seasons only three bad snaps occurred, one resulted in a turnover. I’m a student-athlete, student always comes first then athletics follow. My goal in college is to get a degree that I can use in the real world, and if football comes along with that, it would be fantastic.
