My name is Charles Acuna, I have just finished the 2015 season for San Marcos High School's varsity football team. This is my senior year and it has been my best experience with football so far, and I am now looking forward to the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. As a teammate, I am willing to do whatever is needed from me to help the team be successful. This season I have played middle/outside linebacker, defensive end, special teams, and even some offensive line, and even now can adjust to anything I may be needed to do on the field. I believe that this year I really took a step forward with a leadership role on my team, something I didn't think would be possible, and I hope to carry that forward wherever I may go. Football has helped me to make a change in my life for the better and that is something I am truly grateful for. Since my freshman year of high school I have improved drastically and I see the value in education and am proud of the grades I have been receiving. I look forward to studying mechanical engineering and pursuing success both on and off the field.
