My full name is Alecsander Kohn, but most people just call me Alec. I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. The Sports I play include Football, Rugby, and Wrestling. I took 1st place in my last wrestling tournament and qualified to attend the C.I.F meet, where I feel I represented my school well. Beyond that I enjoy Community Service, Skiing, Traveling and Photography. I have participated in a number of Community Service projects. To name a few: Keen Los Angeles, The Jewish Home For The Aged, Meals On Wheels, and Koreh L.A.. I have served meals to the needy, and prepared and distributed meals at The Union Rescue Mission. I have taught and read to underprivileged children, visited with the elderly and played games with autistic children in the pool. I feel that giving back to the community is important.
I want to be the best athlete I can be, and also the best student I can be. My grades are very important to me, as are my sports. I train very hard to ensure that I am in top physical shape. I participate in many sports other than Football to keep both my mind and body active. I train every weekend at Gold's Gym in Venice and do P90X regularly. I recently leg pressed over 900 pounds and set a personal record Bench Press at 335 pounds. I am very coachable and enjoy being part of a team. Camaraderie has always been important to me.
Having recently transferred to Chaminade College Preparatory, I couldn't be happier. I believe the school's goals and values align with mine extremely well. The strong academic focus helps prepare me for college, and the spiritual emphasis on integrity and honesty helps me stay true to my faith. None of my success in life would be possible without my family, all of whom make sacrifices on a daily basis to help me become the best I can be.
My education is very important to me as I plan to attend Law School after college. I would like to attend a college that can offer me balance in both sports and academics.
