Personal Statement
I am a 5'10 190 Middle Linebacker attending Arcadia High School in California. At the age of 6 I began to participate in Youth Tackle Football where I discovered that I had an unique passion and desire for the game. From a young age, I have had to overcome struggles and hardships that have shaped me into the strong young man that I am today. Just like many kids, I have dreamed of playing competitive college football, but I understand that only through dedication and hard work- success is obtainable.
Although I know that going to college to play football is my goal, achieving my degree in architecture and planning will secure my future. I would like to be surrounded by coaches that are going to help me potentially get the next level and support my academics. Finding a balance between sports and academics is the key to success and the building blocks to becoming a man. Graduating with my degree and getting a good job is essential to this process, if I do not go to the professional level. My hero, my mom, has pushed me all throughout school challenging me with the hardest classes my whole life; since she has done that for me, I plan on repaying her for everything that she did with my degree.
Coming from a single parent household, I have found the lessons and disciplines I learned have given me a competitive edge- to stay humble and eager at all times. Just as fast as something is given, it can be taken away; so I never take any opportunity for granted. My heart, my passion, and my love for the game are some of many attributes I will bring with me on the field and in my educational practices.
