Spencer Smith '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Spencer Smith.  I am a Junior at Clovis High in Clovis California.  I have been a starter on the Varsity football team for the last two years.  I have played as the noseguard on the defensive line for both years.  This year I was also the long snapper.  This year Clovis High were Co-Track Champions and we made it to the valley finals.  Next year I intend to lead my team to make it to the Valley finals again.  I am also a top contender for shot put and hope to make it to the state championship tournament.

I look forward to bringing my speed, strength, and agility to a competitive university.  In this off season, I am determined to get myself in the best physical shape so that I can be even more competitive and aggressive against our opponents next year.  Currently  I am working out at a gym where many of the top athletes in our area work out.  Many California State University Fresno football players work out there.  I am weight lifting comparable weights to these college athletes.  This motivates me to work out hard and to prepare myself for collegiate football.   I am also working on my footwork and agility.  My coaches have told me that I am very coachable which is a great compliment.  I am ready to take my skills to the next level, and I am ready to take the next steps to college football.  Spencer Smith
