Victor Sanchez '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Victor Sanchez and I am currently a senior at Gilroy High School in Gilroy, Ca. Prior to my freshman year of high school, I had no desire to play football; in fact I wanted to pursue wrestling, a sport I had grown to love during my middle school days. My older brother encouraged me to try out for football and I made the team. That is when I became passionate for football and knew that this was MY sport. I started as a second string player freshman year, until the second game and that is when I became starting center. Sophomore & Junior year I started as center for varsity and my senior year I was captain of the team, playing a multitude of positions including center, guard, defensive tackle, and nose. I was one of two student athletes selected to play in the Monterey County High School football all stars, in which I earned my spot as a starter.

I have received several awards throughout high school for my athleticism, academics, and being an outstanding citizen on and off the field. I have completed over 120 hours of community service and continue to serve in my local community as opportunities present themselves. I am hardworking and dedicated, which is conveyed in my strong work ethics.

Playing college football is a dream I've had for the past 4 years. My ideal school is one with a comradery type feel to it and also one with a high academic success rate. I plan to pursue a degree in Business and continue on for my Doctorate degree in Sport's Medicine.
