Personal Statement
I led my team to a 10-3 season. I had 2,882 total passing yards and 25 passing touchdowns. I also had 421 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. My teams only losses were to Serra and Chaminade, two teams that are both ranked in the top ten of the nation. I am proud of my team and our season making it to the semi-finals since 2005.
I come from a football family. My grandfather, Jim Brown, was an All-American at UCLA on the 1954 Championship team and he is also in the UCLA Hall of Fame. My uncle, Kevin Brown, was a quarterback at Cal Berkeley in 1983-1987. Now it is my turn and I am ready. I have been working hard on the field as well as in the class room to prepare for my senior year at St. Francis High School in La Canada, CA.
My teammates chose me to be a 2013 Golden Knight to lead them throughout this season. I take this honor and responsibility very seriously. I lead my team through my strong work ethic, not just during school practices, but during my free time lifting weights, speed and agility training as well as training with my private quarterback coach, Anton Clarkson. I also spend time outside of school studying with my teammates and helping them prepare for quizes and tests.
I spend a lot of my time with family, friends and volunteering at school, in my community and with my church. I love to water ski, fish, hike and play the piano.
I have worked very hard the last three years to become the starting Varsity quarterback. I am going to appreciate every minute of my senior year: every play, every game, every moment I get to play the game I love.
