Personal Statement

My name is Matthew Nyman and I am a Junior at Brentwood High School in Los Angeles.  I play football in the Fall and the other 7-8 months of the year I am either in the gym or at the beach training, playing 7 on 7 or on the field running through drills.  My favorite position to play is Free Safety.

I am willing to play whatever I am needed to do to benefit the team.  In addition to starting at Safety, I started as a wide receiver (slot) as well as on special teams.  I am a leader both on and off the field and try to set an example to all of my teammates. I pride myself on always competing and never giving up. I would love to play at the next level because this sport means so much to me and I don't know what I would do without it.  Football is an unbelievable game and I look forward to hopefully continuing to play as long as I can.
