Aaron Golmitz '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello,   

    My name is Aaron Golmitz and I am Currently attending MidAmerica Nazarene University and have been red shirted for my freshman year.  Previously, I was the starting varsity quarterback for El Dorado High School in Placerville, CA.  I have been playing football since I was 8 years old and have played quarterback all of those years.  I was the starting quarterback my Freshman and Sophomore year on the JV team.  As a Sophomore I led the division in passing yards and threw for 1,850 yards.  This year as a Junior, I am the Varsity starting Quarterback. During the 10 games of normal season, I passed for approximately 2100 yards resulting in 21 touchdowns, along with 3 rushing touchdowns.  My Quarterback rating is 116.1 per Max Preps.  Academically I have a 3.3 GPA and enjoy history and mathematics. 

    During this first year at MNU, I have had new opportunity, which I have not experienced before, not playing.  This has been difficult at times, but I know that it is an opportunity to grow and learn the system that I will be taking over soon.

  I believe one of my strengths is my ability to stay calm no matter the circumstances on the field.   I also believe I have to ability to focus the team so we can accomplish our goals.  In addition to normal high school studies, I am a student of the game of football.  I enjoy looking at a defense and trying to find its weakness.   I plan on majoring in Pre Dental/Med with a goal of becoming a  dentist. If that falls through, I am also interested in sports broadcasting and analysis.

    In my off time I enjoy working out with friends at the gym, playing tennis or riding dirt bikes in the desert with my family.  My goal after graduation from high school is to play college football and get a great education.
