Personal Statement
My collegiate goals and aspirations are to be accepted into a 4 year University where I will be able to apply my athletic skills on the field but to also gain more knowledge academically. Since I was 6 years old and first started playing flag football, I knew this was what I wanted to do. Since then my goal has been to make it to the NFL to play professional football. My mother has always told me that although she would be very happy to see me play professional football; however, getting my degree in college is more important to her and it would make her even happier. Therefore, my plan is to be able to do both not only for myself but for my parents as well. I plan on getting my degree in Communications, that way if I do not make it to the professional league, I will have the knowledge and skills to be a great Sports Analyst.
I believe that I would make a good candidate for any team, because I am an exceptionally fast and versatile player on the field. Although, my main position is running back, I have the capability of playing multiple positions as well; such as Corner, Safety and Slot Receiver. I know that perhaps many high school football players might say this, but I don’t think there is anyone else that is so dedicated and wants this as bad as I do. I wake up in the morning thinking of football. All throughout the day I’m thinking about football and when I go to bed I’m dreaming about football. I know I would be a great asset to any team. I’m always willing to do whatever I need to do for my team. It’s never just about me; it’s always about the team.
Sincerely,
Lamar Raboteau’ Jr.
