Personal Statement
Growing up for most of my life not having the God gifted talents that many of my friends had, I quickly realized the perks of working hard. I understood at an early age that hard work can let a person accomplish anything they put their mind to. Since then, I've worked my way to achieve all that I have so far, and throughout the process, my aspirations increased. Being a student athlete is something I take a lot of pride in. I work rigorously night in and night out, to not only be the best football player, but also the best student, friend, and son. From August to May, I am on a daily grind. Spending hours and hours on homework and studying, and working out or practicing every chance I get. I am as committed to becoming successful and achieving my goals as anybody. I want to one day be an orthopedic surgeon but I can't imagine my life without sports. Thus is why I work extremely hard on my athletic abilities, because I would love to extend my relationship with football for four more years. I know I'd be good for any college football team, no matter what the level, simply because of my mindset. When coaches talk about me, I want them to be impressed by my work ethic. I want them to compliment me on how determined and focused I am in achieving my goals. I want them to be able to see the desire and eagerness I have when I want to achieve something. I want to be a role model for all those students in high school who can excel not only on the field, but also in the class room.
