Personal Statement
My name is Russell Fletcher. I play Quarterback and Defensive Back for the Elsinore High School Tigers in Wildomar, California, under head coach Anthony Peralta. I am a very hard working student-athlete both in the class room and on the field, I enjoy the challenges that each present and the lessons learned while overcoming them. I am a great team player. I always attempt to get the job done the way coach wants it done no matter what my personal feelings and aspirations may be. I do not complain about hard work nor come up with excuses when I fall short of expectations. I keep my head up and give my all on every play and every practice rep. I worry about my teams success before my individual goals. One of my greatest qualities is my desire to be an exceptional teammate.
I want to play college football because it has been a dream of mine ever since I watched my first USC football game with my father. I would give everything I have to play football at the next level; to help my teammates, coaches, and the school in the pursuit of success on and off the field. I also promised my mother that I would go to college and get a degree. Playing football while receiving a higher education would be the icing on the cake.
