Elijah Brockman '17 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,

Football is not only a sport that I love, but a way to better myself through the opportunities it provides. What makes me an amazing candidate for your team is the understanding that playing at the collegiate level is not a right but a privilege. I will use my strong work ethic and positive attitude to play my best and do what is asked of me both on and off the field.  I believe myself to be one of the hardest working players on my team. I was instilled by my parents with the concept that you should work hard to earn what you want in life. While other kids got weekly allowances, my parents had me perform chores or small jobs such as pouring concrete or helping local elderly neighbors with their yard work. My efforts on the field have paid off and I am now top 3 in the league for my position in overall sacs and tackles. I apply this philosophy of hard work to every aspect of my life, including my education. I am academically sound and understand that a good education is crucial to achieving success in life.
