Personal Statement
I have loved football since I was able to walk, when I watched Shannon Sharpe play with my beloved Denver Broncos. Sharpe was the first tight end in history to amass 10,000 receiving yards and held every major tight end record until Tony Gonzalez surpassed him. Inspired, I spent much of my childhood and adolescence emulating my hero, dreaming of one day playing with my own team on the gridiron. Sports have always been a massive part of my life ever since I started playing football at the age of five. I have played at many different levels ranging from high school football to playing for my Club Select league and representing my region. Football is my main interest, besides the fact I enjoy other sports such as baseball and basketball.
I am hard-working and conscientious. My attitude towards everything I do is positive. I am reliable and believe that I would be an asset to any team. Through football, I’ve learned important lessons regarding hard work, discipline, and critical thinking that I will directly apply to my college football and academic career. I am confident that I can succeed in this demanding and competitive world.
