Personal Statement
I have been blessed with athletic ability that I feel is my responsibility to work hard and improve on everyday.
I have all the support in the world from my family. I have two older sisters that both play volleyball at universities. One of my sisters plays at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, my other sister is going to play at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hills. I have traveled with my sisters to the colleges that have been interested in them. So I have had the opportunity to listen to college coaches. After those experiences I have learned what colleges are looking for when recruiting athletes.
I have seen that in the recruiting process that before anything school is the most important. Therefore I have made it a priority to make my grades on par with my athletic ability. Both of my sisters have great grades in high school so I saw that with good grades I can bypass my competition.
I have been playing quarterback all my life and since I can remember my goal is to play at a D1 university. To accomplish that goal I will work hard and focus on school. But for me it's not about getting all the money or being aired on ESPN. I work hard to play the game that I love and get an education so I can be successful in life.
I play quarterback because there is nothing better to me then leading a team and pushing the ball down the field in the fourth quarter. Quarterback is mentally challenging for me because my mind on the field is going a hundred miles an hour. From reading the defense to making sure all my players are lined up right. That's half the reason I love it so much.
I am motivated to work harder and harder every day till I'm the best in the nation. I am excited to find a college that me and the coaches will be a great relationship. I would consider myself blessed to have a chance at any University.
Thank you,
Ty Evans
