Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are to play college football and earn a degree in sports medicine, with an ultimate goal of working with athletes that have pre-existing injuries or that want to avoid future injuries. I am a good candidate for a team because I am constantly told that I always go 100%, and that I am very coachable. I am a leader on and off the field, one way I have shown that I am a leader on the field is by earning my teammates and coaches respect. One way I have shown I am a leader off the field is by staying out of trouble in school and trying to be the best behaved student I can be, while maintaining good grades. What makes me different from other recruits is that I enjoy doing community service work and helping others in need. One example is that I recently participated in my schools opportunity to better expose the students to the struggles of homeless people in our community. The students and I spent a day visiting shelters and walking the areas of people experiencing homelessness. Through that experience I realized that all stereotypes aren’t true, I also realized the true struggles of people experiencing homelessness, and realized how blessed I truly am.
