Personal Statement
I was fortunate to find a sport I love at a young age. I enjoy the excitement of every football game and the brotherhood that comes along with being part of a team. Having played all positions on the offensive line, I am relied upon as an integral, valuable component of my team. I often compete against players that are 50-100 lbs. larger in size. As a Varsity starter my sophomore year, I blocked for Colorado’s record setting passing offense. (Our team runs a no huddle, up tempo, spread offense that has set Colorado state passing and combined offensive records the last 5 years). My Junior year, we set Colorado rushing records and blocked for the Colorado offensive player of the year. My ultimate goal is to win a state championship as a team captain.
I strive to exceed not only on the football field but also in the classroom. Academics have always been an important part of my life. I use the same strategies for game preparation and planning in my academic career.
At the next level, my size and skills are well-matched for the defensive side of the ball. Currently, my team only allows seniors to play both sides of the ball, so next year I will gain more experience with defensive positions. I believe my experience, skill set and leadership makes me an excellent prospect for college football. I am a three sport Varsity athlete (Football, Wrestling, Lacrosse) and have maintained a 4.25 GPA. I know I can make a difference to your team and would love to match my athletic skills with an academically challenging institution.
