My name is Taye Mitchell. I have been playing football since I was ten years old. I am the first person in my family to play football. Before I started playing I would watch the game and know that football would always be in my future. I am looking to play at the college level because I know that it could change my entire life.
I consider myself extremely committed to being the best player that I can be. That means that I am always working to improve both during the season and off. I am consistent in my weight training, and always working to get faster and stronger. Going into my Senior season I am considered one of the leaders of the team and always strive to set a positive example.
I know that life is not just football, that is why I strive to achieve in the classroom and in all parts of my life. I have received academic athlete awards the past three years and expect the same for my senior year. In my spare time I enjoy working with at risk youth and volunteer my spare time working with special needs sports programs.
Playing college football and earning a bachelor's degree is my number one goal. My work ethic demonstrates this commitment, earning varsity letters, Academic Athlete, and best off season player three years in a row, since a freshman. I am interested in majoring in Business but remain flexible to accommodate the football program that will be a good fit for me.
