Josh Patterson '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josh Patterson and I attend Jonathan Law High School in Milford, Connecticut (Class of 2011), where I am a fullback and safety on the football team. I was voted captain, as well as captain of the track team, as my teammates respect my hard work, leadership abilities and accomplishments both on and off the field. As I am pursuing a playing career on the collegiate level, I would like to provide you with some details about my athletic abilities as well as my academic achievements. I am 5 feet 9 inches tall and weigh 225 pounds, and I run a 4.8 second 40 yard dash and a 11.6 100 yard dash. Last season, my junior year, I rushed for approximately 1,000 yards, had 30 receptions for 300 yards, and scored 14 touchdowns while sharing the rushing responsibilities and blocking for our tailback who also rushed for over 1,000 yards. As a senior, I rushed for approximately 1,100 yards and scored 20 touchdowns. Multiple Connecticut newspapers named me player of the week for my October 30th game against Branford High School. In that game I rushed for 214 yards and scored 5 touchdowns. I am a hard worker and love to challenge myself and my teammates on and off the field. I have a 3.4 Grade Point Average and am taking two Advanced Placement classes in Statistics and Economics. These classes reflect my desire to take on difficult tasks in order to improve myself, which is a characteristic I bring to the practice and game field with me.
