I know I have the capability to be great, but even great athletes/legends have had to face obstacles in their path. My obstacle is that I'm often overlooked as a Middle Linebacker, especially for a Division 1-A football program. First impressions are not always the best impressions of a person.
As you watch my highlight tape you will witness my natural ability to read and react to all plays. Although people say that I'm not the ideal size for a Middle Linebacker in a Division 1-A football team, I have the necessary speed and strength to shed off blockers and make the plays at any level of competition. My work ethic and commitment to football is like no other, so I wouldn't understand why I wouldn't be a perfect fit for a great football team. Football is life, football is life for me. Although I should have a "backup plan", just in case. It is not in my interest to focus on it as I do for football. I have a dream to be something more in life, and I know football has given me the greatest opportunity for it. As for my academics, I was a "slow starter" to high school and by that I mean I didn't understand how important everything was to get good grades, and actually pay attention in class. As the years past, I matured into a different student and now understand what it takes to go somewhere. So, I'd like to say that my GPA doesn't really show my full potential as a student-athlete, and I hope when you decide to take a look at my profile that you would take that into consideration. My NCAA ID: 1411940660. Thank you.
