As an athlete I've always been a very hard worker, the type of guy who is always the first one in and the last one out. This is not only the case for the field, but the weight room, and the classroom alike. Moving forward I am looking for a college which holds both high academic standards, but also a competitive football program which people take seriously. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to play football in college simply because I am not ready to be done with the game after High School. It has become something I love and hold a true passion for.
In order to be out there on the field I have worked very hard not only in the weight room, but also the classroom. I realize that along with staying eligible, earning good grades is a key component to continue playing at the next level. My GPA is a 3.4 unweighted and a 3.8 weighted. I have taken both the SAT and the ACT earning a 1640 total on the SAT and a 26 composite on the ACT. I also earned the Principal's award for academic excellence in the Spring of my Junior year, as well as college credit for ENC 1101 after passing the AP exam in the Spring.
My plans for college are to study International Business and earn my Bachelor's degree in Business. I also would love to play football at the next level while I work towards my degree. Having a brother and father who both played big time college football, I realize the challenges that college athletes face, and believe that I have prepared myself to face these challenges by learning time management skills and taking rigorous AP courses throughout high school. I believe that I am well prepared to become a student athlete at the next level.
