Christopher Hernandez '15 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing football since I was 7 years old.  It has always played a major role in my life.  I love the hard work,  commitment,  and teamwork that goes along with the game.  I play Linebacker and Full Back for our Varsity Team.  I have been on the Varsity Team since 9th grade and the Defensive Team Captain since 10th grade and team Captain for my Senior year.  I was also awarded the Defensive Player of the Year as a Freshman. I have been Honorable Mention 10th and 11th grade years for County.  As a Junior I was second in the county for leading tackles with 126. I have put up the highest tackle total for a Central defensive player in more then a decade.  Leading on the field comes natural to me.  All the Coach's tell me I have a great football IQ.  I want to see my entire team succeed.   I am known to have the most heart on the field.  I play with everything I have every game no matter what the score is,  right up to the last second.  I am always up for a challenge and always looking for ways to improve. 

When I’m not on the field I focus on my studies.  My ACT is 23/91.  I currently have about a 3.5 gpa.  I am looking to study Sports Medicine or Physical Therapy.   I am also a Gunnery Sgt in the Young Marines which I started when I was 11 years old.  The program has taught me Leadership,  Discipline,  Teamwork,  and allowed me to do many hours of community service in our area.   

My goal for this year is to find a college team that is the best fit for my football and educational goals.
