Personal Statement
The image that others view of myself could simply be limited to a football player making big plays on the field. But, I believe what makes me a good candidate for collegiate teams is my great natural leadership skills. I feel like I have a strong impact on others and I believe those impacted could agree. From my religious background, that is how my character has been developed. I understand that a humble sprit is essential in all aspects of my life. Even though I have broke 3 records at Crescent City Jr. Sr. High School while a junior, I understand I must remain humble. In the classroom, I am able to maintain a similar work ethic to that on the football field--I have been able to maintain a 3.0 GPA as a junior. Unlike other athletes, I have a purpose to why I play the way I do. Growing up in a single parent home facing struggles everyday has motivated to give back to her and accomplish things that most in my family have not done. The key to life is to have a purpose because without a purpose, you are bound to do anything. Some lack purpose but, with purpose, skills, a humble spirit, and God-- I feel like that makes me stand out from other athletes.
