Football – the lessons we learn
Football to me isn’t just a game, it is a way of life. Being part of a team means more than just having a bunch of close friends, it’s a family. Now being part of a football program has its' perks but it is mainly about the lesson’s that come along with it. The lessons of being a football player help you in everyday life. It changes boys into young men, men into role models. The game of football is a teacher of life.
Football is not for everyone, it is for people who are mentally tough and physically fit to handle the challoenge. Going out and practicing every day after school for three and a half hours doesn’t always sound like fun to most people but to the dedicated it is nothing. Football separates the men from the boys. It shows who is tougher when life gets tough and it shows what you are as an individual when adversity hits. Adversity happens everywhere in life, whether it is not paying bills on time or if you lose someone you love.
Football is not just a game, it is a teacher of the real world. It shows you that when life knocks you down, that you have to get up, learn from that mistake and then tackle the next problem that is standing in your way. Being a football player makes you understand the struggles in life in it's simplest form. Although life has its ups and downs, you will always want to be successful. When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, that’s when you will be successful.
