Personal Statement
My name is Peyton Turner and I am currently a center on Varsity at Atlantic Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida. I have been playing football since I was 8 years old.My grandfather and great grandfather both played football at Clemson University. It has been a dream all of my life to follow in their foot steps. I work hard on the field and in the class room. I will graduate in 2015 and I will play football in college. I continue to focus on my grades and know that this is very important in helping me achieve the goal of playing football and getting the scholarship offers I want so badly. As of now I am possibly considering to further my education in Engineering or Architecture. I am a hands on type person and like to challenge my mind in every thing I do. Right after my Mom, younger brother and step father moved to Jacksonville, Florida summer of 2012 my father passed away. This happening has truly inspired me to grab life and to enjoy the journey. I know that I can accomplish anything that I set my mind on and I will play college ball at a college and get an education.
My Senior year has been a memorable season. We ended our season with a 7-3 record. Me missed winning the Division 7 title by a "Hail Mary" pass in the last 9 seconds against Oak Leaf. That was a true eye opener for my team as well as myself. You have to be ready for lifes little bumps in the road and use them as life lessons. It only made us get better as the season went on.
I was selected for the ALL CONFERENCE Gateway team. This a true honor and I am very excited as to see my hard work getting recognized by other coaches and players. I have also been selected for the ALL STAR team. We will have a game on December 19 and I know the future is mine to take and I am ready for it.
