Quentin Bessent '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach,

My name is Quentin Bessent Jr. and I am in the graduating class of 2015 at Merritt Island High School in Merritt Island, Florida.  My ultimate goal and aspirations is to obtain a football scholarship from a four year college, earn a bachelor’s degree and someday play for the NFL.  I started playing youth football at the age of 6 and I knew at a young age that I had a passion for the game.

What makes me a good candidate for your school is my hard work, dedication, ability to play multiple positions and communicate effectively! My involvement in football, basketball and track throughout middle school and high school has helped me become stronger and faster. As a student-athlete, I learned many important skills in how to be successful and a team player.

What makes me different from the other recruits in character, is that I am outgoing, fun to be around, and humble. In athletics, as a 5’10 160lb Safety, I play both offense and defense positions and memorize plays for all positions with ease. Even though, I may be smaller than most of my teammates, I have never let that discouraged me from giving it my all on the football field. And in academics, I work 2 part-time jobs while maintaining a 3.2 GPA. I have a strong family support system that keeps me discipline and motivated.

In conclusion, football is one of the main factors that have shaped my character by making me determined, dedicated, resilient, hardworking and competitive.
