Personal Statement
To give you a bit of my background, I was born into a middle-class family. I moved to North Carolina when I was just 5 years old. When I was there, I discovered my love for football and began to play. I've played every year since. When it came time for my 8th grade season, my team had gone 7-0 and had made it to the conference championship. During the championship game I was injured, I was told I never would play again. I laughed and said that I would play. Time for physical therapy came around, and I said I'm going to play football. That's just what I did. I played, and never missed a beat. The doctor was amazed at how I recovered and never gave up. I recently moved to Florida summer before last. I currently am the starting left tackle, back-up center and right tackle for the University Titans (Orange City, FL). I have aspirations of going to college and playing at the next level and majoring in Business Administration.
My Senior season ended 8-2, holding the best record in school history after only 5 years of existence. We just simply knew how to play hard. Our coaches were wonderful and they give us their all from week to week. Even when we were struggling for points or yardage during a game, we had each others backs and fought through.
