Personal Statement
My name is Aaron Duckworth.
I am a rising senior this year (class of 2014)..
My football career started at the age of 8 with 3 years of Pop Warner. During my final year with Pop Warner, I was
named team captain and led the team in tackles and fumble recoveries. During my 8th grade year, I was
named team MVP and awarded defensive secondary back of the year. I set records for most rushing yards, carries
and individual tackles. I also set the
junior high school record for high jump with a 5’ 8” jump. My 9th grade year I played running
back for both the junior varsity and varsity teams. I led the team with 500+ rushing yards and 3
touchdowns. I am a very hard worker. I love to workout in order to become the best
athlete possible. I work daily on my
speed, and upper and lower body strength.
It has always been my dream to play college and professional
football. I am open to any school which
offers strong academics and an opportunity to play football at a competitive
level. My desired major is criminal
justice to support a career in law enforcement, as a back –up plan to playing
professional football. A plus would be a
school that offers a sports management program, because that is an interest of
mine as well. Playing college ball will
be a big long term goal for me to complete. I feel I can make a big impact on
the team I play for. Like I said earlier I’m open to all college coaches that
feel as if I can help their team make it to the next level. Thanks for reading
and I hope you enjoyed.
