Josh Moore '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josh Moore, I am a redshirt Freshman transfer Quarterback coming out of Mercer University (D-1AA).  During my high school career I was the quarterback at Ridgeview High School in Orange Park, Florida.  I have been the starting quarterback since my sophmore year in 2010 and we went to the playoffs for three consecutive years. We were the District Champions in 2011.  My Junior year, I was named 2nd Team All State Quarterback for class 6A, 1st Team First Coast Kicker of the Year, and Jacksonville's Quarterback Club Player of the Week. While rushing over 1,250 and passing over 1,200 yards.  My Senior year I was named 1st Team All State Athlete 6A, First Coast Super 24, Jacksonville Quarterback Clubs Player of the Week, Clay County's Offensive Player of the Year. and also was the leading rusher for all Quarterbacks in the regular season in all classifications in Florida.  While rushing over 1,400 yards and passing over 1,300 yards.  Almost broke the record for most points ever scored by a single player in the state of Florida.  As a starting Quarterback and Kicker I have accumulated 71 Touchdowns, rushing over 3,100 yards, passing over 3,000 yards, 80 Touchbacks, and 22 field goals, longest being 48 yards. I understand the importance of the weightroom and strive to make myself the strongest that I can possibly be.  I push myself to dominate in everything I do and I am leader and a motivator for my team.  I do not play football just because I love it, I play it because I can't live without it.  My love for the game has driven me to push myself to the limits and I am constantly striving to make myself a better athlete each and every day. No matter what I do in life I will give it my all because that is how I was raised and is the only way i see how to do things.  My goal from the beginning has always been to play college football and I will not stop until I achieve that goal.
