Personal Statement
My name is Robert Cannon III but I go by Tripp. I have been playing football since the age of 5 when I started with Pop Warner. Played offensive tackle up until this year when I was asked to step into the Center position. I have always been bigger than the average player with extremely long arms. Currently my arm-length is 34 1/4". The love for football runs in my blood. My dad played college football at Syracuse, grandfather at Notre Dame on the 1943 championship team, and great grandfather for Dartmouth. I have aspired my whole life to follow in their footsteps and play college football. I thank God for blessing me with my size and for the opportunity to earn a Catholic education. Not only is Bishop Moore great football program, 2015 5A State champs, it is a place where I have made friends and memories that will last a lifetime. It is a competitive academic environment. My work ethic is as strong on the field as it is in the classroom. I am a leader with my two brothers, at church, where I am the altar server coordinator, as well as on the football field. During high school I have wrestled and played lacrosse but my heart lies with football. I hope to have the opportunity to speak with you about myself and how I will be a valuable asset to your football program.
