My name is Collin Christopher Olsen , Class of 2015. I am 6 feet 1 inch tall and 225 lbs and turned 17 on 5-2-13. This summe386-506-7249r I have been training hard and attended several football camps to best prepare myself for the 2013 season. This summer I attended camps at Duke University, University of Central Florida, University of Florida, Florida State University, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes football camp at Stetson University. In addition to camps, I have been working out in the weight room with my team 4 days a week and training at D1 Sports Training Facility 2 days per week. During the summer months, I also played 7 on 7 with the other skilled players on my high school team, against other area high schools, where we excelled and did not loose a single game and tied for 1 game. In the prior seasons, as a freshman and a sophomore, I only played on the offense side of the ball. This year, I will also be playing 1st string Linebacker, in addition to 1st string Running back and 1st string Receiver. Fall 2012, was my 2nd year as a starter on the Varsity football team Division 8A District 1. I played Wing Back/ Running Back/ Slot Receiver. During the Fall 2011 season, I was the only starting Freshman to ever start on the Varsity team in the history of the school's program. I was the starting Wing Back/ Running Back and was also a go to Receiver. Prior to high school, I have played Pop Warner football for 8 years at literally every position. On my last year of Pop Warner I excelled at Fullback and Middle Linebacker but have also played Tight End, Wingback and Defensive end. I have also played the last 3 years with the Florida Spring Youth Football League. This is 8 on 8 football league. I average over 8 yards per carry. I consider myself a power back. For the 2nd year in a row, I was the leading rusher on the team. Currently, during the off season, I am working out hard at D1 training facility in Lake Mary, FL.
During the Spring of 2012, the FSFYL 8 on 8 team that played for went all the way to the state championship, only to lose by 1 TD. I also played in the FSFYL Pro Bowl unlimited weight game in Orlando, Florida. In 2012, I also attended the Football University (FBU) camp in Lexington, KY. At that camp my coach was Tommy Robinson and I was selected to attend their Top Gun event to be held in Williamsburg, Virginia in July 2012. From combine events that I have attended, I have been invited to the National Underclassman Ultimate 100 combine and the Junior Rank Prodigy Camp several times. I continue to work hard in the weekly workouts with my school's football team, including wieght lifting and speed training.
In my 9th and 10th grade years in High School I average a 3.85 GPA and am taking all Honors classes. Freshman and Sophomore years I was on the Honor roll all 4 grading periods. I plan on continuing to work hard in the classroom in my Junior and Senior years to the highest level in all honors classes and Advanced Placement classes while also continuing to improve to the maximum level of my strength, speed and agility training. This will help to obtain my goal to excel in high school and then in college.
I realize the benefit of starting the recruiting process early and being prepared to research my options to find the best match with a school that has an outstanding football program as well as an exceptional academic reputation. I am open to any location, size of the school, and level of scholarship or financial aid. The most important thing to me about this process is getting recruited by a college that will give me the opportunity to prove my ability to excel on the field as well as in the classroom.
