Johnathan Ortner '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Johnathan Ortner and I am currently a Senior at South Walton High School in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.  I have been the starting quarterback for the Seahawks for the past 2 years, and am very proud to lead the Seahawks into the 2014-2015 season.   I was honored to have been chosen for the "AP Florida First Team All-State", the Florida HS Elite All-State "Player of the Year",  chosen as the "Florida Varsity All-Panhandle Most Valuable Player" and also chosen to the NW Florida Daily News "Dandy Dozen". I have a huge work ethic in the classroom as well as on the practice field and in the weight room.  In my opinion there is nothing that can ever replace an unwavering commitment to hard work and a dedication and drive for continued excellence.  My goal is to continue to become the best person, student, athlete and community member that I can, never settling for second best. 

My team and my coaches are my family and brothers, and I take my role as their quarterback and leader very seriously.  Ideally I would love to play football at the next level while pursuing my goal of obtaining a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance.  I have been working hard during the off season and receiving passing instruction from two time Super Bowl winner and professional football coach Zeke Bratkowski on a regular basis.  I look forward to becoming part of my new college family both on the football field and in the classroom.
