Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are different from any goals I have ever set in my life for the simple fact that now is the time my life is actually starting. Besides the obvious goal of graduating, I want to be able to take the knowledge and wisdom obtained in college and become a better person while helping the people around me achieve success as well. This starts in the classroom, which is why academics come before football. Growing up my dream was to play in the NFL, but having a realistic backup plan is very important to succeed. I understand the importance of education and know in order to succeed anywhere, even on the football field, that I must be successful in the classroom first. On the field, I am one step ahead of everyone else. I play and train at a level where I keep myself ahead of my opponent. Each and every play I give 100% and sacrifice everything I have for the success of the team. This unselfish character is very important when it comes to playing team ball. This is something I learned very early in life and it has stayed with me. This has translated into a mentally and a physically tough work ethic, in which I am proud to say I possess.
