Personal Statement
I am in the Class of 2017 as the starting quarterback for American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida. I joined the Varsity team in my Freshman year as a linebacker and special teams standout for our defending, and back to back, Florida 5A State Champion team. On the personal side, in December 2014, I placed in the final three in Ken Mastrole's Super 7 Quaterback Challenge event hosting 42 of the top quaterbacks in Florida.
Throughout my football career, I have played most every position from lineman to quarterback. Most of my time in youth football was spent as a two-way player at tight end or wide receiver and linebacker or safety; with the last two years playing both ways at quarterback and linebacker. I am intelligent, hardworking, dedicated, and truly love to play the game of football. For those reasons, I have enjoyed playing a variety of positions and have used the knowledge from each to better myself and my overall game. My philosophy has always been to play where my team needed me most and dedicate my full effort to being the best at that position. I am a true team player and feel that, at quarterback, I am the vehicle that helps my players get that first down or get into the end zone. My coaches have always said that I am a natural leader. I just want to get in the trenches and work my hardest with my team every day, every week, all year!
In my life, I am always looking to improve and excel. In the academic classroom, I am an excellent student. Attending a college or university that is a good academic fit for me is a must. Leadership, hardwork and teamwork are all qualities in myself that I am looking to develop throughout my collegiate career and carry forward into my life beyond college and athletics.
